If your question is not answered below, please feel free to contact us. Q: What is the Toddy Associates Network?Q. What is the Toddy Associates Network? For the past 40 years, Toddy's success has been built on positive word of mouth - people telling other people about Toddy and the great taste and benefits of cold-brewed coffee and tea, served steaming hot or iced cold. The Toddy Associates Network is a unique two-tiered network made up of individuals, web site owners, online merchants, and independent resellers who we pay to introduce people to ToddyCafe.com. We pay liberal, lifetime commissions two different ways: Tier 1 - Introduce ToddyCafe.com to your family, friends, visitors, and customers - anyone who might enjoy Toddy's products - and earn commissions from 20 to 30% for the life of the program. Tier 2 - Introduce the Toddy Associates Network to other like-minded individuals, web site owners, online merchants, and independent resellers - anyone who would like to earn extra money - and earn 5% sub-commissions for the life of the program. -back to top- Q. How does Toddy track my referrals and commissions? We've developed proprietary technology that allows us to track sales you're responsible for generating. You needn't be a technology whiz to use it, though. You simply refer people to ToddyCafe.com through specially formatted e-mail text links or web-based product images, banners and text links that we provide. When your referrals click on your special link, or copy and paste or type it into their browser, Toddy's tracking software will register your referral immediately. If they make a purchase at ToddyCafe.com, you will be awarded the applicable commission. And, best of all, you will be awarded a commission automatically on all future purchases made by your referral at ToddyCafe.com - it's that simple. -back to top- Q. I would like to build my own sales network. How do I get credit for recruiting others to the Toddy Associates Network? You may introduce the Toddy Associates Network to your family, friends, visitors, customers - anyone who might enjoy earning additional income. Just direct them to www.ToddyCafe.com, and advise them to register as a Toddy Associate. IT IS IMPORTANT that you provide them with your special Toddy Associates Network ID number so that they may enter it when they register. They must do so at point of registration for you to qualify for 5% sub-commissions on their referrals' future purchases. -back to top- Q. How do I get started with Toddy Associates? It is a simple three-step process: 1) read and agree to our Operating Agreement, 2) create an account at ToddyCafe.com and complete the Toddy Associates registration form (it takes about two minutes), and 3) start earning commissions (after notification by email and receipt of your Toddy Associates ID number). -back to top- Q. Can I participate in the Toddy Associates Network if I live outside the U.S.? Only individuals from the United States can register and take advantage of the Toddy Associates Network. However, we're planning to introduce similar Toddy Associates Networks in Canada, the UK and Australia in the near future. Commission payments for all Toddy Associates will be made in U.S. dollars only. -back to top- Q. Why do I have to provide my social security number? We need this information for tax filing purposes. If you are an individual (as opposed to a business/corporation), we need your Social Security number, because if your calendar-year commissions exceed $600, Toddy must issue you a Form 1099 MISC at the end of the calendar year that must be filed with Form 1040. Rest assured, we will not share this information with third parties, except as required by law. -back to top- Q. How do I qualify for the Toddy Associates Network? Anyone can apply for the program. However, Toddy reserves the right to refuse anyone, especially if your web site contains unsuitable material. Web sites that would violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right; encourage illegal activity or racism; or feature hard liquor, tobacco products, gambling, or materials, products, or services related to pornography will be deemed unacceptable for the Toddy Associates Network. -back to top- Q. I don't have a web site, just an email. Can I participate in Toddy Associates? Yes. Email is one of the most effective vehicles to refer your family, friends and other individuals who may have interest in Toddy. Email is readily accessible and easy to use. Simply write an email to your referrals, and include your special link in the body of the note. Make sure to reference the link, letting your referrals know that they may click on the link to visit ToddyCafe.com. Make sure to let them know, too, that by clicking on the link, they will automatically receive 10% OFF their initial purchase, should they choose to purchase products during their visit to ToddyCafe.com. Hopefully, this will offer added incentive and help you maximize commissions. When your referrals click on this link, or copy and paste or type it into their browser, Toddy's tracking software will register your referral. If they make a purchase at ToddyCafe.com, you will be awarded the applicable commission (we'll send you an email confirmation immediately). Do I need to buy anything? No. Participation in the Toddy Associates Network is free. As a Toddy Associate, you will never need to take inventory, set up merchant accounts, process orders or provide customer service. Toddy does it all, at no cost to you. -back to top- Q. How can I keep track of my referrals, commissions, earnings? We offer you a password-protected online system so that you may review your traffic, sales, earnings, etc. - all in real-time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We offer marketing collateral and information, such as pre-made banners, product images, e-mail templates, as well as marketing tips to maximize your monthly revenue. Your links even act as a 10% OFF e-coupon on your referrals' initial purchase - offering referrals added incentive to purchase at ToddyCafe.com. How much will I earn by participating in the Toddy Associates Network? There is no maximum to how much money you can make with Toddy. You will earn between 20-30% in commissions (see compensation document for details) on all qualified purchases made by your referrals AND a 5% sub-commission on all qualified purchases made by your recruits' referrals. Importantly, commissions are paid for the life of the program. Therefore, once your qualified referrals make a purchase, you'll earn a commission for all future purchases made by your referrals - no matter how they logon to ToddyCafe.com. And it's the same for your recruits' referrals. -back to top- Q. What if my referrals visit ToddyCafe.com through my link and makes a purchase initially, but then visit ToddyCafe.com directly the next time (and make a purchase)? Do I earn a commission? Yes, you'll receive a commission for this and future purchases made by your qualified referrals. If your referrals make a purchase during their initial visit to ToddyCafe.com after following your link, you'll always get credit for all future purchases, no matter how your referrals logon to ToddyCafe.com. -back to top- Q. If my referrals click on my link and visit ToddyCafe.com, but do not make a purchase during that initial visit, will I earn a commission if they decide to make a purchase during future visits to ToddyCafe.com? Referrals must make a purchase during their initial visit to ToddyCafe.com (after following your link), in order for you to earn a commission. If they do not make a purchase during their initial visit, they may return to ToddyCafe.com, but they must follow your link and make a purchase in order for you to earn a commission and commissions for the life of the program. -back to top- When and how do I get paid? You will be paid monthly by check when your Toddy account reaches a minimum of $25. If your earnings are less than $25, the amount will be carried over to the next month. Commission checks are issued within 15 days of the end of each month. Your pay cycle will not begin and your first check will not be sent until 45 days after your first end-of-the-month period. -back to top- How long does a Toddy Associates cookie last? Our tracking technology was developed so that once a purchase is made by one of your referrals, long-term tracking takes place in our proprietary system for the life of the program. You needn't worry whether or not your referrals' cookies expire after their initial visit and purchase. -back to top- How do I obtain banners, buttons and text links for my web site or for use in my email campaign? All the graphics, logos and the linking codes are available at www.ToddyCafe.com. After you are logged in and registered, visit the Toddy Associates Network section, then click on the Toddy 101 page. Toddy 101 includes information regarding banners, links, marketing advice and such. -back to top- May I link to ToddyCafe.com from more than one web site? Yes. You are welcome to link to ToddyCafe.com from multiple web sites, as long as none of the sites violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right; encourages illegal activity or racism; or features hard liquor, tobacco products, gambling, or materials, products, or services related to pornography. Submit the URLs for all sites you plan to use to promote Toddy via the Associate contact form. -back to top- How can I promote ToddyCafe.com? Toddy will provide banners, buttons, and text links that you may use on your web site or email program. In addition, you may promote Toddy through opt-in mailing lists, traditional print advertising, postcards, chat rooms, message boards, newsletters, online advertising, keywords, presentations to civic, school and other groups, etc. Another easy way to get referrals to your web site without having to type in your special Toddy Associates Network ID number/URL is to register your own domain name (web site address) that forwards to your special ID number/URL. Many domain registrars, such as GoDaddy.com, allow you to forward your domain to another URL. When this happens, all visitors who visit your domain name (web site address) will automatically be directed to ToddyCafe.com, as if they were following your unique link. You can use your own domain for print ads and ads on web sites such as Google and Overture. Note: Do NOT use forwarding with masking services. This type of forwarding will cause several of the functions at ToddyCafe.com to fail. You must have written permission from Toddy. Toddy® is federally trademarked for use in all beverage categories. The use of Toddy or any variation thereof in your URL or in the name of your web site, without advance written permission from Toddy, will be cause for immediate dismissal from the Toddy Associates Network. In any case when you breach the Operating Agreement, you thereby forfeit your earned commissions. -back to top- What kind of marketing and advertising may I do? This depends on your imagination - there's myriad means. Here are a few: send out an opt-in email blast inviting people to "drink better coffee (and tea)" and include a link; write a newsletter (with text links) for visitors to your site; write a testimonial about Toddy (with text links) for a coffee- and tea-related web site, chat room or message board; draft an article for your local newspaper about the benefits of cold-brewed coffee (referencing your web site); fashion a postcard mailing that drives people to your web site, etc. Note that you may use any copy from www.ToddyCafe.com, but if you wish to write your own copy, you must send it to us via the Associates contact form in advance for review (we need only a couple of days to take a look). Another easy way to get referrals to your web site without having to type in your special Toddy Associates Network ID number/URL is to register your own domain name (web site address) that forwards to your special ID number/URL. There will be no leniency in cases of unsolicited email, and Toddy Associates in violation of this policy will forfeit their commissions and be removed from the program. -back to top- May I issue a news release or another type of announcement to the news media or other groups regarding my affiliation with Toddy? Yes, although we ask that you do it only with our advance permission. We will help fashion a release or announcement tailored to your audience (i.e., school group, Sunday school class, local newspaper), and send it to you via email (we need about two days advance notice).
