Why not use 'low-acid' coffee beans?
For those who need their daily cup of joe but can't stomach the acid, the conventional solution has been to hot-brew coffee using one of many 'low-acid' coffee beans on the market.
Typically, these beans have been processed or treated so as to eliminate up to 25% of the acidity found in most hot coffee. However, even 25% less acid still represents an enormous amount for those whose stomachs can't tolerate it.
In addition, of the 'low-acid' beans that we've tasted, in our estimation, all score poorly from an aroma, flavor and taste standpoint.
